SKA Energy is a member of SKA International Group focusing on the construction and operation of fuel storage and distribution facilities and the management of inventory and fuel additives. In 2013, the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in the UAE signed a 10-year contract with SKA Energy to build, operate and manage an aviation fuel farm for the RAK airport.
Fully commissioned in the second quarter of 2014, this state-of-the-art JIG-approved fuel facility has the capacity to store 1.2 million litres of Jet A-1 fuel and deliver into-plane service from 2 fuel bowsers. The project allowed SKA to provide competitive fuel and handling packages to air carriers that find Ras Al Khaimah International Airport an alternative to other airports in the region.
